Refund Policy

This Refund Policy ("Policy") explains how refunds are handled for Contract Aegis ("we," "us," or "our") pay-per-analysis purchases. By purchasing an analysis, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

All sales are final. Due to the nature of AI-powered analysis services, all purchases are non-refundable except in cases of technical failure as described below.

1. All Sales Are Final

All purchases of Contract Aegis analysis credits are final and non-refundable. Each analysis credit grants access to a full AI-powered contract analysis using Gemini 2.5 Pro, including all features (AI-suggested revisions, chat, PDF report, missing protections detection, pushback email generation). Because AI processing costs are incurred at the time of purchase and analysis, we cannot offer refunds for completed or unused credits.

2. Exception: Technical Failures

If an analysis fails due to a technical error on our end (e.g., server error, API failure, application crash) and you do not receive analysis results, you are entitled to one of the following at your choice:

  • A replacement analysis credit
  • A full refund for the affected analysis

To qualify, the failure must be attributable to Contract Aegis infrastructure, not to user error (e.g., uploading an unsupported file format or exceeding page limits).

3. Free Tier

The Free tier provides one complimentary analysis at no cost. There are no charges and therefore no refunds applicable to the Free tier.

4. How to Request a Refund

If you experienced a technical failure and believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us at:

Include the following information in your request:

  • Your account email address
  • Date of purchase
  • Description of the technical issue encountered
  • Order or transaction ID (if available)

We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

5. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The version of this Policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your refund eligibility for that purchase.
